ACCOMPLISHMENTS
May 2022 – Area Pastors met for lunch in Altamont at the invitation of Mr. Matt Putnam. The topic: “Could a Lutheran High School feasibly meet the needs of area families?”
November 2023 – Feasibility study begins with The Genesis Project
January 2024 – The Steering Committee is formalized
September 2024 – Genesis Project Completed – Received the recommendation to proceed with an Effingham County Lutheran High School
March 2025 – Subcommittees begin to form composed of area LCMS members
April 2025 – 501(c)(3) filed
May 2025 – First donations received
PLANNED GOALS
Fall of 2026 – Call a Headmaster
Fall 2026 – Summer 2027 – Admissions process begins for prospective students
Early 2027 – Secure a temporary rental space for HTLHS
August 2027 – First school year begins
2030 – 2032 – Secure ground and begin building a more permanent home for HTLHS
